Specializing in cutting-edge treatments for a variety of allergies, Andrew Engler, MD, has worked as a physician at The Allergy and Asthma Clinic in San Mateo, California, since 1987. Today Dr. Andrew Engler is the clinic's medical director, and among his responsibilities he treats patients with asthma, allergies, and related conditions as well as provides leadership to a staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered and licensed vocational nurses.

As an undergraduate at Stanford University, Dr. Andrew Engler was elected to Phi Beta Kappa while still in his junior year, an honor limited to the top 1.5 percent of students in academic standings. Dr. Andrew Engler then went onto earn his doctor of medicine from Stanford University, and he has continued to earn distinctions throughout his career. Castle Connolly has selected Dr. Engler for its “Top Doctor” list for 15 years in a row, which involves an extensive selection process that includes peer nomination, research, and screening and review by a doctor-led research team. Additionally, Dr. Engler was named a “Top Allergist in the Bay Area” by San Francisco Magazine in 2015 and among the top doctors in the country by U.S. News & World Report in 2012 and 2013.
